I have 8 characters and not enough time, I wasn't playing with the Nec before the SR nerf, the SR nerf just made me turn my Nec into a Storage Mule, and i was only kidding about the SR buff, because the thread itself is a Joke.

Anyhoo, /notsigned. The only reason I would wish for this is for a screenie: 12-party team in urgoz/deep, all mm's, all with xx(x?) minions each =oP
Also, re: the infamous SR qq'ing, I mm in pve and LOVE it! Lots o' fun imo, 10 fiends ftw! =oD Even when I occasionally pvp as necro, still good fun, and rarely run into energy probs. You don't see god-like N/D mm bombers dominating ab because SR gives insufficient eman... Like others have said, if you've got problems maintaining energy with SR as it is while others pwn, then I fear the problem lay with the user. And besides, not playing your necro before the SR nerf, then not touching your necro after the SR nerf, then offering opinions on SR? Ummmm.... riiiiiiight...

1. Playing MM before the many nerfs to the build was the most fun I ever had playing guild wars. Nothing in Factions, Nightfall, or GWEN has ever compared.
2. Removing the cap makes MM about skill again. Any noob can raise 10 minions. But your skill in build design and execution starts to matter when they are the only limitations on how strong your army can get.
3. If the cap were removed, we would NOT see a return to the huge 50+ minion armies of Prophecies.
3a. Because of the way the life sacrifice on BotM scales with the number of minions you have, you'd kill yourself if you tried to keep anything near that many minions. (JB and FftD both cycle too slowly to keep up with minions' natural degen.)
3b. Because of the way the life sacrifice on OoU scales with the number of minions that you have, you'd have an incentive to keep your army small enough to be able to use such a powerful elite.
For the above reasons,

(On the topic of verata's sacrifice. Revert it to it's pre-nerf form (47 sec duration, 60 recharge) and add an effect that your life sacrifices are doubled for its duration to force you to choose between VS and BotM instead of using both.)

A well thought out and probably true answer , for about 1% of MM's. The rest will be racing to 85 minions , saccing themselves to death and moving straight onto monk rage
Then we'd have complaints everywhere that MM is impossible as you sac yourself to death all the time and calling for a nerf again

Frankly, these skills should be nerfed:
Burning Arrow: Lower the + damage substantially, it's the only overpowered Ranger elite.
Mending: Lol, just kidding. Needs a buff though.
Shadow Form: You're RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing KIDDING me! Make it removable by more.
Don't like my ideas? Ignore me, don't try to flame. There are too many farming builds that any idiot with a mouse and a keyboard can run, it's eliminating any semblence of challenge. Higher minion caps make that worse. Imagine: Jade Sea farming by simply running out to where the Outcasts and Naga murder eachother, raising an army and stomping everything in the Sea.

BotM effects ALL minions, not just your own, having more than 2 minion masters would mean insta-death if you used BotM...which is not desirable.

agreed, i used SR all throughout nightfall, w/o minions. thanks to unded and lack of exploitable bodies. But needless to say, unlimited minions would spell trouble and you'll never get it approved even if everyone in the game wanted it. Also i think most of you are forgetting that Guild Wars was built around teammates and playing with other people, not playing solo and breezing your way through it. You wanna play solo, get ready to play long and hard, or take teammates and have some fun.
I dont know what Verata's was before, but its still pretty powerful now, especially in AB battles, i usually run an SS with Verata's aura just in case i come in contact with a MM and steal his minions, so that way i become a SS and MM. XD

your also forgetting when this game was created it had unlimited minions, and for quite a while as well...so a big chunk of your argument is kinda void :/
But since they added con sets, ursan, heroes, and other imba/solo the game elements, I don't see why it would hurt to bring this back...

Keeping 10 minions alive is already annoying and except a few areas, corpses aren't lying everywhere. Maybe pushing the limit a little would be nice.

Right now 2-3 mm = 30 minions max. Except blood of the master (which hurts badly with 30 minions) and maybe heal area there's no skill worth a skill slot for healing your minions. So I don't really see how 1 mm could have 50+ minions at a time.
Hint : BotM and some other skills got nerfed with time, so don't say "before it was possible" or things like that.
